BODELWYDDAN CASTLE, near St Asaph, is a Victorian mansion housing art from the National Portrait Gallery, furniture from the Victoria and Albert Museum and sculpture from the Royal Academy.

NANTCLWYD Y DRE in Ruthin dates from about 1435 and is the oldest timber-framed town house in Wales.

RUTHIN GAOL is a fascinating place to visit. Visitors can explore the cells or research family history in the archives.

PLAS NEWYDD, built in 1780, was the home for 50 years of the "Ladies of Llangollen".
