I am offering Nordic Walking to visitors to North East Wales, particularly the Vale of Clwyd. I have explored the Clwydian Range and Vale of Clwyd over the past year with Nordic Walking groups and look forward to taking visitors on these trails.
Nordic Walking provides a full body workout and exercises up to 90% of your muscles, without you even realising it! And makes ordinary walking seem even easier. And the bonus is that in the Clwydian hiils and valley, you get to enjoy breathtaking scenery, to visit wonderful local craft centres and businesses, and enjoy mouthwatering food while doing so.
There are drovers routes, old mine workings, the vast Clocaenog Forest, wide heather moorlands - and some special wildlife including red kites, black grouse and red squirrels (particularly in the forest). In the midst of all of this are working farms, It can be fascinating to stand and watch as a farmer works with his dog, rounding up the sheep. Very much like stepping back in time because there is a timelessness to these landscapes.
